Hair

Ballet

Girls in all ballet classes from Primary upwards must wear their hair in a neat and tidy bun

or pinned so hair does not obscure the neck line or get in the pupils eyes .

If a pupil has short hair they can wear a hairband to match their leotard , gripped into place with hair grips . The ballet bun keeps hair from distracting the dancer and from flying in the dancers face ; it also creates a clean elegant line and enables the teacher to observe the pupils neck line .

See below for instructions on a quick easy way to make a proper ballet bun .

Modern , Tap , Jazz , Pre-school & Pre-Primary

Girls in these classes can wear their hair tied away fron the face in a high pony tail . Wispy

bits secured with hair grips .
